Tallulah Simone Orosz is a California-based performance artist, instructor, choreographer, and director. Based in their hometown of Sacramento. Tallulah is a versatile artist whose work extends past the boundaries of movement alone. Tallulah started dancing at the age of 11, training in multiple dance techniques, including: ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary, under the mentorship of Pepper Von and Nhan Ho. In 2021, Tallulah began dancing professionally with Sacramento Cabaret, and since then has danced for multiple local companies. They are a recent graduate of CSU Sacramento, with a BA in Theater and Dance, training under the mentorship of Philip Flickinger, Megan Brunsvold-Mercedes, Lorelei Bayne, and many more.
While performing was their first love, Tallulah fell in love with teaching when they started teaching heels classes in 2022 at Sac Dance Lab. Since then, Tallulah has taught multiple styles including: heels, burlesque jazz, musical theater, jazz funk, and contemporary, and they offer classes for all ages. They also work as an Arts Educator and Choreographer for Norcal School of the Arts, a local nonprofit which utilizes an arts-focused curriculum in public school programs.
Tallulah fell in love with the art of theatre when they joined the drama club at Monterey Trail High School. Since then, combined with their lifelong, deep passion for storytelling, Tallulah’s work has primarily focused on creating multi-layered, immersive artistic experiences
that invite the audience into a world where sound, movement, imagery, and emotion unite. Whether performing on stage or working behind-the-scenes, Tallulah is dedicated to exploring
what it means to push the boundaries of art as an experience. In 2023, Tallulah founded the TNT Arts Collective, a creative collective focused on fostering a safe space that allows for each and every body in the room to feel comfortable and confident in their own dancing body. Inspired by Tallulah’s background working with WEAVE and the Sacramento LBGT Center, the project is also committed to exploring dance and movement therapy for survivors of abuse through a supportive reclamation of their bodies and autonomy. “Dance is for everyBODY.” For more information on Tallulah and their work, you can follow them on Instagram @lulahsimone or @tntartscollective916.
